Acupuncture
is a type of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) that’s used in more than 100 countries. Practitioners use tiny needles to help balance the body’s energy and to stimulate the body’s natural response to reduce pain. It can also control other symptoms of illness. Acupuncture can be utilized alone or with other natural remedies, medications, physical therapy and other treatments.
For pregnant women, acupuncture has been shown to ease pelvic and back pain. It may also benefit women experiencing depression during or in the months following pregnancy. It’s best to speak with your medical provider before trying.
